Inspiration: Journals

Journal writing is a voyage to the interior.
- Christina Baldwin

I’m a little bit obsessed with journals. Last time I checked I had five in progress, and with so much inspiration around I’m often tempted to start even more!

It is necessary to write, if the days are not to slip emptily by. How else, indeed, to clap the net over the butterfly of the moment? For the moment passes, it is forgotten; the mood is gone; life itself is gone. That is where the writer scores over his fellows: he catches the changes of his mind on the hop.

  1. I’m so like you! I have a serious problem with starting diaries that I never keep up with. Sigh. :)

  3. Those journals are gorgeous, and this post was a great reminder to keep up with my daily writing! I’m shockingly bad at maintaining a diary, but they’re such a worthwhile thing to have :)

  5. Perfect timing! I really needed to read this as a reminder of how important it is to keep up with my journal. I’ve been slacking lately, so I’ll definitely be writing tonight!

  6. I love those journals! I used to have a serious journal addiction (the journal-buying part of my addiction still exists…it’s just the filling them out part that always stalls)Wonderful reminder to me to get my act into gear! Thanks Brideyx
